Good to know

An authentic Thai teak house on stilts that has housed and fed several generations of families. It was moved and reassembled panel by panel in the traditional Thai way, and it carries parts of houses from several places in Thailand. The upstairs teak loft remains original and untouched. In 2026 we fully enclosed the ground floor with a full red-brick wall built to match the house's style, and gave it its own dedicated AC — the original stilts, posts and teak design remain intact — because a house this loved deserved full comfort. / / / WHERE YOU SLEEP ▪ 2 King Beds: one open-plan 32 sqm teak loft upstairs, beds separated by a partition, not a solid wall. ▪ Couples take the garden-side king; the second king suits families or friend pairs. ▪ Cool and Dark: 2 AC split units, ceiling fans, room-darkening shades, mosquito nets. ▪ Bedding: guests call it "by far the best mattress, pillows and bedding for an Airbnb." ▪ Downstairs Daybed: a traditional flat daybed on the ground floor — comfortable for 1 adult or 2 small kids. A 90x200 comfy topper is made up on request. ▪ No-Stairs Option: the daybed sleeps you steps from a full bathroom — ideal for guests who prefer to skip the loft stairs. Sleeps 5: two kings in the loft plus the ground-floor daybed (1 adult or 2 small kids — the second child stays free). / / / WHERE YOU RELAX ▪ Dedicated AC: ground-floor split unit across the 100 sqm living floor, plus fans in every room. ▪ 55-inch TV with Netflix, board games, and antique teak furniture throughout. ▪ Fast Wifi: 500 Mbps — stream, call, work without a thought. The end-of-day zone: a film, a drink, and cool air in a teak room. / / / WHERE YOU COOK & EAT ▪ Refreshed 2026: updated appliances plus new pots and pans. ▪ Stove, fridge, microwave, rice maker, toaster, kettle, coffee maker. ▪ Starter Stock: coffee, tea, oil, salt and pepper provided free. ▪ BBQ Grill by the pool — charcoal for your first grill is on us. / / / WHERE YOU SWIM ▪ Private Pool: 2x5m, 1.5–1.6m deep with no shallow end, evening lighting, professionally cleaned twice a week. ▪ Garden: 70 sqm of terraces and front yard with tropical plants, 2 sun loungers, a hammock, and a walled gate for privacy. If you park a car inside the gate, it takes part of the yard. "The pool was a massive hit with the whole family," per our reviews. / / / WHERE YOU WASH UP ▪ 2 Full Bathrooms: one on each floor. Hot water runs on the handheld showers; the rain shower heads are unheated and run cool. ▪ Ground Floor: a full bathroom steps from the daybed — no stairs at night. ▪ Toiletries and a hair dryer provided. ▪ Laundry: washing machine and drying rack included. / / / WHO IT IS FOR ▪ Couples touring Thailand who want a real Thai house, not a condo tower. ▪ Culture-first travelers: dozens of reviews call it "authentic" and "one of a kind." ▪ Small families or two friend pairs (older children only, 7+), here for pool time and night markets. ▪ Guests who prefer no stairs: the ground-floor daybed and bathroom keep everything on one level. / / / THE LOCATION ▪ 1min walk to 7-Eleven, Thai restaurants, Paris Bakery, coffee and a Muay Thai gym ▪ Car and motorbike rental shops a short walk away ▪ 7min drive to Bluport Mall, 10min to the beach ▪ 10min drive to Hua Hin Night Market and Cicada Market (weekends) ★ "Our stay at this traditional Thai house was truly one of the most memorable Airbnb experiences we have ever had." — Chavaras

Other Details to Note

[One Sleeping Loft] The two king beds share one open-plan upstairs loft, separated by a partition rather than a solid wall, as Thai families traditionally slept. Book it as one shared loft, not two closed bedrooms. [Recently Enclosed] From August 2026 the ground floor is fully enclosed with its own AC. Older reviews mentioning open-air living, heat or mosquitoes downstairs describe the house before this refurbishment. [Stairs] The loft is reached by a traditional staircase. Less suited to guests with limited mobility — though the ground-floor daybed and bathroom offer a no-stairs option. [Street Sounds] Near 7-Eleven and the Soi 102 main road; an antique wooden house is not fully soundproofed — expect some street sounds. Earplugs provided. [Mosquito Care] Mosquito lamps in the bedroom and dining room, nets over the beds, and spray provided each stay (fair use). [Neighbouring Building] A 3-storey building next door has a partial view of the pool. [Pool and Camera] No shallow end in the pool — children must be supervised at all times. Occasional low hum from the pump. A security camera covers the entrance gate only. [Children] Not suitable for children under 7.
